Bedrock Literacy Curriculum Dab and Dot Correct Spelling Year 1, Weeks 11-20

Turn your students into word detectives as they practice Bedrock Year 1 vocabulary with these fun and engaging Dab and Dot worksheets. This activity goes beyond the simple word recognition of the Bedrock Dab and Dot Find the Word worksheets. Students must carefully examine each circle to find the correct spelling, forcing them to pay close attention to detail and avoid tricky misspellings.
 
Students first practice spelling the word by dabbing or coloring the word inside the middle box. Then, they search the circles to find and dab all of the correct spellings of the word. Finally, they count the number of times they found the word and write their total at the bottom of the page.
 
Don’t have bingo daubers? No problem! Students can use crayons, markers, or highlighters to color the words instead. For repeated practice, students can use pom poms, beans, transparent chips, and more!
