Bedrock Literacy Curriculum Unit 1 Daily Reading Fluency Obj 23: Noun Prep
Daily Reading Fluency (DRF) is a key component of the Bedrock Literacy Curriculum designed to help you support your students’ reading fluency growth. Students learn how to silently read a sentence in English, visualize what they read, and then use metalinguistic awareness to translate the sentence into American Sign Language. By successfully translating, they are also demonstrating reading comprehension.
This product targets the Bedrock English to ASL sentence translation objective
"Given an English sentence including a noun and preposition (e.g. The cat is on the table. The shoe is under the bed.), produce an ASL translation."
Your students will get valuable practice strengthening their reading ability while building metalinguistic skills in both English and ASL.
